Michael Nentwich

1982-1989: studied Economics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, and political science and law at the University of Vienna; 1988: LL.M. (Vienna); 1989/90: post-graduate studies at the College of Europe, Bruges (Belgium): Diploma of Advanced European Studies 1990; 1990/92 scientific collaborator at ITA (projects on the legal consequences of new telecommunications technologies, and on consumer loyalty cards); 1991-96: lecturer at the Research Institute for European Affairs of the Vienna University of Economics; 1995: Doctorate in Law; 1994/95: Human Capital Mobility Fellow at the Universities of Warwick and Essex (England); 1998/99 guest scientist at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies, Cologne; since Summer 1996 employed at ITA; March 2004: venia docendi in STS at the University of Vienna; main research focus at the moment is on information and communication technologies, in particular the Internet. Since January 2006 director of ITA.
