Assistant Professor at the University of Rostock, Institute of Cell Biology and Biosystems Technology and Head of the Environmental Physiology Unit (1994-2007). 2001 Habilitation in Molecular Biology and venia legendi (Privatdozent). Since 2005, Guest professor at the University Írebro, Life Science Center, Sweden and since November 2007 Professor for Cell Biology (teaching activities) at the University of Rostock. Since November 2007 researcher at ITA in the nanotechnologies project.
